Interestingly the military used RL15 in its 7.62 long range sniper round used in both Iraq and Afghanistan with no issue of heat sensitivity. The RL15 I use is from pulled LR sniper rounds. That ammo has been modified recently with a new powder that affords under 2% velocity variation in extreme temps ----Rl15 was at 2% between -15 below and 130F.
