More expensive to feed, but worth it.

I was at the Loveland Sportsmans Warehouse today, lots of components but no brass at all, I did pick up a carton of CCI mini-mags hp, haven't seen any of those in a long time. 40.00 for a carton, not bad.

While in St.louis last week the five of us stopped at a nice shop called Grafs Reloading. I was looking for domestic 7-08 brass but all they had was the Czech made Privi brand in stock. It looked to be of good quality, I bought one bag to try out. It was $22. per 50, why not. My 788 ruins any brass (bolt compression, head cracks) in 6 to 8 firings so that rifle is what they will be used in.Image

Off topic a bit. They had a shipment of Varget one pounders come in for $27. ea. two can limit per customer. Fair price considering current events. We each bought our two cans ( eight were for me )..haha. We then head to a burrito place around the corner for lunch. After we eat Dave drops me and JB off back at Grafs. I ask for any Varget and the sales guy says I can buy two, sweet. 8) The original sales guy recognizes me from 45 minutes earlier and calls me a scammer!! The cans are put back on the shelf, NO SALE. :x CRAP...I had cash in hand and was not going to steal it. I saw they had at least 60 cans of it on the floor. JB thinks this is funny and is chuckling in the background. :)

My picture is probably on the Grafs "wall of shame" as a SCAMMER. ......

Bob...you should have mentioned going to Grafs....they probably saw your darting ferret like eyes and that smirking 'I finally beat goodnight' look on your mug...and thought in their simple ways...now this IS a scammer! :D Graf's main office is in Mexico MO and I know folks there that would have been sympathetic to you  We'll talk ;) ;) And you should know rear locking lugs ala 788 are case stretchers....(bolt flex).....try a bump die

a ferrett !?!!.... Thanks for your help on the score sheet.

I have had that 788 since '80 and it is on the second barrel. Roughly 7500 shots on that action. I don't think Remington planned that thing for that much firing. Someday you will hear about the Guru having a bolt and some of those rear locking lugs removed from inside his crainium. :D

You know I had one with an Anschutz trigger grafted on it. Damn if it wasn't super accurate but a case stretching son of buck. I sold it and the guy who still owns it hardly ever shoots it...he'll find out when and if he makes it a regular event. Sorry about 'ferret'...but I was trying to think of a likeable furry woodland creature with keen darting eyes....other than a weasel =))

Hey ... you haven't mentioned the Cornholer award? what the heck? :ymdevil:

Snake, I think ferret is an appropriate nickname for the Guru. He apparently forgot his sheet for his head or they might have sold him another 2 lbs of powder. Guess you will have to get a new incognito outfit McAlice, how about heals and a bright blue/tea wig?

I'm pretty sure "SCAMMER" is synonymous with "hoarder" in Missouri. :-bd It's either that or word has gotten out on your mistreatment of 7-08 brass Black neck Bob!
