I completed my first day of my first time at Nationals. I shot poorly but I have to admit I had a hard time getting the fact I was ACTUALLY shooting in my first National competition out of my head.

Still, I am having a blast! A stroke of good fortune squad-ed me with a fellow member of the gun club I belong to! He has shot in previous Nationals as well as some other large matches. He is showing me the ropes and I am thankful for that!

Thanks for letting me blab away here.

DavidABQ - If you see someone in a solid purple vest, probably hanging out with someone in a Team Lapua vest, that's me. Stop and say hello!

I believe we have already met. I'll stop by tomorrow an say hello.

I also got the chance to meet Innocent Mary. What a lovely woman she turned out to be. When I recognized her from some photos published here recently she stared at me like I had a horn growing out of my head but she was gracious nonetheless.

Fortunately Raton was very dry and hot so there was no threat of that happening.
