JB,
I think the Limelighters did a song about the cowboy with an emotional hang up over his mother....hmmm the thought of poor BOB having past problems to revert to the Skittles green. BTW BOB the red Skittles taste better than the green ones.

I wonder if maybe he was thinking of the story about
green M&M's and was hoping it would do the same for him if his stock was that color???

While it's true I have had emotional issues in my youth, ...JB, I am sensing a possible alien abduction in your past. Are you having "little green men" probing flashbacks?

BOB,
The Limelighters are probably a little too old of music for you. Without going into details of my age (Dawg you shut up as I know you have seen my drivers license), I will say that my tastes in music is rather varied and the song I am referring to makes reference to being slow to draw his weapon because of his emotional hang-ups over his mother. Written and sung long before Brokeback Mountain, and almost before I was a twinkle in my daddy's eye. And slight history on the Limelighters, all the groups members had PhD's, in pyhsics and similar subjects, therefore most of the music truly requires listening carefully to appreciate it fully.
Now probing aliens could be a good topic for Rambo to research.

Well Bob, I guess I most have been out of town when you made this post, and you were right, I would have made a comment about it, but it would not have been derogatory, I am glad you really like that green, but keep in mind, I don't pick the colors, the customers do, and belive me, you have not seen all of them, how about the pink one for Coats!!!!
Let me tell you all a funny story. Sometime late last year, I ordered 6 stocks, 4 for customers, and 2 for stock, which I picked some of the most popular colors, I done that in the pass several times, and always was able to sell them. Well one of the two, supposed to be a light green with black granite, but somehow when I place the order, I cross the last two numbers, and ended up with about the ugliest color I have ever seen. Well wether you believe or not, somebody wanted a rifle build real bad, and did not give a shit about the color.
I build this gun, on a bran new 1712 action, put on a Lilja tight bore barrel, and the damm thing shot one hole groups at 100 meters, actually, one of the best I seen.
Well the original owner had some family problems or whatever, and he sold it to somebody else, which for some reason or another decided he wanted to sell it, and have another one build from scratch, to make the story short, guess who ended up with the gun????? By the way it is call the UGLY GRINGO
Evelio.

Hmmmm, I wonder if there's any more room in the vault for a 'one holer' with an ugly stock

I understand hydrodipping works real well...
On the other hand, it's easier to spot in the rack and you can't see the color when you're shooting.

We all have secrets in the gun closet, but the River Range Rats have been looking at each other saying "You first" "No, you first"...
