I've been told there will be a slight price increase but don't know how much yet, that why I only have one on order.

Leupold is no longer producing and stocking the FX-3 line of Silhouette scopes. I have been told that they will be available through the custom shop although right now they are out of some of the necessary parts to build them. I have one on order as a test and will report when I find out more.

This is not good. They are 12 weeks behind on a reticle change for my hunting scope, I can't imagine how long it will take to get a silhouette scope made.

That actually is good news. I rarely see quality ammo for sale in a store, so it is good news that you are finding Wolf. Even better that you can find it in bulk!

News from Leupold;

A production run of VX-3i 6.5-20X40 was just completed. I received the three I had reserved.

The custom shop is still waiting on production of "Main Tubes" for the fixed power scopes (FX-3's).
Word yesterday was that price on the FX-3's will remain the same.

Shoot at the middle.

That is good news Pete. Should an individual who wants to purchase a FX3 in 25 power with a 1/2 minute dot reticle order one now or wait until the main tubes to be made available?

David,the Custom shop is not taking any back orders at this time. They told me they want to have all the parts available before they commit to a build. I will keep you posted.

Leupold does not have the FX-3 in 25X or 30X anywhere on their website for ordering. Not even saying, "Coming Back Soon." I would venture to say, it has been obsoleted due to no real demands by on-line retailers? Lower power for hunting, is where it is at?
That is my guess.

I did send them some questions this morning and will see if there is any public info coming out and status.

Thanks for the Clarification. I had gone to their actual website, click on scopes, hunting, scrolled down to FX-3, and only listed the 6X42 and 12 X 40. No mention of the 25 or 30X to be special ordered. No indication to go to the Custom shop for other FX-3 optics that I could see, either.

I did get a reply from Juan in their custom dept. They are still made.....etc.
Considered lucky to have my 25X at $649 price delivered, last Fall, from MidwayUSA

Look in the competition scopes category, not in fixed power.
