Re: ram load for 25-06
I have shot 25-06 in HP silo but would not recommend it generally. I used it because it was all I had at the time for silo rifle class. My current rifle is my second 25-06, a Rem 700. They are very accurate but in my experience they have to be handloaded for. I had no problem knocking down rams when I hit them of course but I did have a very difficult time finding a load that would shoot. Tried all kinds of heavy bullets with IMR 4350 powder. The ONLY bullet that would shoot was the Sierra 120 grain GameKing hollow point boat tail #1650. I don't recall the charge but you should work up your load yourself for your particular rifle anyway.
I would start there and it may save you some work but again in my experience with 25-06 you must work up a load for the rifle. No factory stuff shot well in either of my rifles.
Good Luck with it.

Is there any round that will knock over Rams 100% of the time!?! I haven't found one yet.
