More expensive to feed, but worth it.

1712 style stock

Post by mshelton »

I'm in the process of putting together a 700 that I plan on using for high power silhouette and general hunting, I have the barreled action done, 6.5x47L with a fluted #6 Lilja barrel and I'm trying to decide on a stock. I'm by no means a big competitor and as long as I make standard weight I'm happy, I just enjoy the activity. I shoot rimfire with an old Anschutz 1422 that has the same style stock as the modern 1712 and I really like the stock, feels great for silhouette and squirrel hunting, does anyone make a stock shaped like that for a 700?
