I think it was a ploy to get the Silhouette shoters in the store to purchase the remaining rimfire ammo they had on the shelf! Notice I said shelf, singular!

I doubt that they needed any help getting rid of remaining rimfire ammo. Also I just called. They had to send them all back for a recall on the trigger.

That seemed to start about a year ago, in June of July 2013, and then moving so many products to Alabama has probably tanked morale.Jerry G wrote:remington has been taken over by the bean counters.

I have a 500 dollar gift card from Christmas, and I have been to Grice about 10 times this year. I am unable to find anything to buy there. The 22s are way over priced, and the firearm selection is very limited. They have almost no brass and limited reloading supplies. They do have 1911s, ar15s, and any plastic gun you desire. I personally would like to see some nice older firearms, but they won't pay a fair trade in, so that selection is very limited.

I was at Grice's earlier in the month and they told me that the release of the SPS 260's was delayed by the trigger recall program. Hopefully they will be out soon. Al Foust

Just picked mine up that I have had ordered from a nearby gunshop since April. Have not shot it yet.

They had one left in stock as of last Sunday. The girl at the front cash register said they had another order due in soon. I did not see a reloader flier forthe end of the month specials. It should be out soon.

Dunno what or why but FFS the quality of Remington on the Shelves here in South Africa is atrocious and a joke.Jerry G wrote:remington has been taken over by the bean counters.
Used to be very sought After rifles , but seems they headed in the direction of commodity trading - cheap bang for buck
CZ, Steyr , Tikka currently dominate and only really Winchester/Weatherby / Savage feature from USA . Personally I quite like the Weatherby's they are almost what Remingtons used to be.
