Just don't get to playing to hard with anything or anyone and forget to pick me up at the airport, what would I do call McAlice on his cell?

JB, you've got Trent picking you up? Boy you are stooping low, I would at least arrange for Sara to pick you up instead.

Mary, we all just returned to our rooms after a good dinner at Harry J's steakhouse. Motel rooms were scarce around here due to some marathon or bike tour thing going on. We ended up in a less than 5 star dive, a lot less, right on I70 at the exit to the range. As luck would have it Sara and I are in room 209 right over JB in 109. We will keep the bed noise to a minimum so JB wont rat us out here on Steelchickens. We will both jump up and down on the floor at 5am for his wake up call. Great weather forecast here for the weekend, low 80's and no rain or wind. 240 HP shots for score in two days...bring it on 8)

In this rat hole if you two start jumping up and down to hard ya just might come through the celing. If some poor slob was thinking of offing himself/herself this place would send them over the edge.

McAlice, How come you got so lucky as to carry you equipment to the second floor. As for jumping on the floor, been a while since I played wheelbarrow, but then JB wouldn't recognize the sounds anyway. Sounds like great weather for shooting, have fun wish I was there, but I do have to appear at work some.
Shoot good, and feed Sara well, (not too much wine)!

Reporting live, sort of, from somewhere in the middle of Kansas:

Dave Bonner is the both gun Missouri Regional HP champion again this year. We had excellent conditions as usual resulting in some high scoring on the animals. Daves heavy gun score was 93 x 120 and a 93 x 120 with the hunter gun. Jim Beckley and Lee Oneil were hot on his tail but both fell apart in the last day of shooting. Too many lost rams hurt Oneil. 300 plus shots all weekend took it's toll on these two old farts. In his first ever registered HP match Steve Culpepper aka "Kidculpepper" shot himself right into AAA hunter class with a nice 73 x 120 with a borrowed 7-08 no less. Half his ammo was loaded in Colorado, the other half in Georgia. Nice shooting Steve, welcome to the addiction. It will be too long before your next "fix". :( Work hard on getting HP going in Georgia 8) .

For what it is worth we saw more rung rams this weekend than we could keep track of. The various 6.5's did the worst but one shooter lost four in one relay with his 7BR launching 168 SMK's. I think he said he was going back to a 7-08. The senior Colorado shooter lost nine  all weekend with his 6.5 x 55. Even the champ lost two with his .260. I hit 37 rams with 7mm 168 SMK's and all fell. Beckley hit 37 total with his pair of 6.5's and lost none. He started using the new Barnes burner 140's and likes them. Every time he hit one he asked me where it hit and how it fell. My pat response was "it fell like it got hit with a heavy 7mm bullet" :) He had one stall before falling with a chest shot. They are not magic pills, the key here is don't drive them fast like Oneil does.

Snake, Pat O. and their support staff did an excellent job as usual running a smooth match. The weather was the best I have ever experienced at any HP match. Thanks again guys for all you do. See ya next year. ^:)^

I hope Trent, the Kid, JB, Mr.Briscoe and the Champion himself will add their comments to this thread. Come on guys.

Bed time for me. Adios amigos.

It's 2:30am here in Columbus GA. Just made it home and was greeted by two wiggly dogs and not much of a welcome from a sleepy wife. Maybe I don't take her on enough walks.

First and foremost, thank you Bob and Pat for running one of the best if not THE best HP silhouette match in the US. Also a big thanks to all of your support crew for feeding us and setting our animals.

Secondly, I miss my Colorado crew already. Good thing Culpepper is fun to be around or the South wouldn't be fun at all.

I rang no rams, 7-08 and 6.5. This was a tough year for ram ring'n. I do believe that O'neil is the proud new recipient of the Ram Dinger award. If he would just shoot them around the edges like the rest of us he wouldn't have such a problem.

The weather was flat out amazing this weekend. The food was great, and the smiles were wide.

I would like to report an injury though. What ever you do don't sit down on one of the benches at the club and slide sideways. You may end up with something unintentionally stuck in your ass.

This was a great match - I would have to say the best HP match I have ever participated in! =)) Snake and Pat did a great job running things, the food was great, the weather was outstanding and the target setters were fast (there were only four of them but they had it down to a science).

I didn't get a chance at the award ceremony to publicly thank all my sponsors :D but like everything, it was run quickly and efficiently and was over before I knew what happened. Anyway, a BIG shout out to Trent for convincing me to go (although he didn't have to twist my arm too much) and loading most of my ammo and McAlice for loaning me a gun and loading the rest of the ammo! :ymhug: :ymapplause:

I met some great folks (including the Colorado crowd) and had a great time...already looking forward to doing it again!

Kid

P.S. I didn't hit as many rams as McAlice but every one I did went down! Bet nobody can guess what caliber it was....

Someone lied. Trent says he had a splinter in his ass. None of those Colorado boys would fess up on who got the splinter. Maybe Trent didn't really have a splinter and he just missed those hands all over his ass. If I was pointing the finger it would be to Dahms, he was so excited to see and shoot with Trent, that he shot himself into AA, or maybe it was Culpepper himself, who was an unclassified shooter and shot himself into AAA. Great match, great time, glad to see the Slagel's there. Thanks to Bob and Pat for the match, best kept secret in silhouette. Note to McAlice-Ya can't swap spit with the wife and shoot also. Guys just can't use two heads at the same time, we are cursed in that way.

I tried to get Snake to represent me in court due to my injury. He told me to go pound sand.

Hey Snake, Culpepper and I were talking and we both want to hear you say something.

Can you say... Hoo-Ah!

Or maybe.... Where is the booze? flowing like mud around here. Hoo-Ah!

Thanks for coming boys and girls. It was great fun especially when Snidely got the splinter in his bumb. I thought he knew better than to go bare ass at the range...then again he does have a porn star mustache ...so bare ass goes with the territory. The really disturbing part is the visual of Trent and his roomies trying to remove it  When you fellas get a minute be sure to thank Sierra and Lapua for our goods...even if we didn't all win something. And If you guys are ever in town call me and I'll take you to a great watering hole...O'Connell's
