Shooters Wanted

On Saturday July 21st an NRA High Power Silhouette match will be held at the Hat Creek Rifle and Pistol range in northern California. This facility was formerly quite active in High Power Silhouette but due to decreasing interest only two matches were scheduled this year. The first drew three shooters. There was a lot of whining and groveling involved in getting even two matches this year, if we can't drum up some interest we can write this venue off. The range is located off Hwy. 299 between Burney and Fall River Mills CA in the heart of vacation country. It is only a few miles from Burney Falls state park, and has great trout fishing nearby, so a family outing is reasonable. Dry camping is available at the range. The range is about 68 miles west of Redding, 170 miles north of Reno NV, and 110 miles south of Klamath Fall OR. Burney CA is 10 miles west of the range, and has many motels. Fall River Mills is 6 miles east, and has a renovated Victorian Hotel with a full bar, cafe and dining room. Fall River Mills also has a championship level golf course. To say you are welcome to compete would be an understatement.
