There is a SB silhouette shoot at the StLouis benchrest club next weekend (March 4th). There is a great group of shooters there, who are always willing to help someone new to the sport.
If possible, I would recommend showing up with your 10/22 and a scope, get sighted in before the match, and have fun. I shot my first silhouette match last year, after wanting to do it for years. Now, I'm hooked.
