WTS Remington 513T 90% Condition

Post by PAHunter »

I have a Remington Model 513T (Target-Master) .22 for sale.

This rifle is 90%. That verified by three gun shops in the last week.

First off - damage:

One scratch over front sight barrel. Minor, but there.

Bolt handle is brazed. Work was done back in the fifties.

Otherwise this rifle is in top condition. This is a mid range manufacture rifle - serial number is 87XXX. Between 136k and 166k made.

Redfield sights - original. Worth $100 if sold separately.

I am looking for $500 but will entertain serious offers..

Not value related, but a bit of history. This rifle won the Maryland Smallbore state matches three times in the late fifties. Placed top three in other events. It is a tack driving shooter with little use over the years.

The bore, like the rifle, is excellent. More than one knowledgeable person has commented that this is essentially a "new" gun.

The last I shot it was eight to ten years ago. Every so often prior to that. My father owned it before me. I can only recall one use during those years, at my insistence. He was not a shooter.

The original owner shot competitively with the rifle. He won the MD Small bore Comp several times in the 50's with this rifle. Placed other times. He died in 62'... rifle has basically been a closet queen since. The most air it got was in the moves to one house or another.

So no rust or pitting. Wood is excellent as well.

This is a normal production run rifle. Not a US marked rifle.
