Logging on problems?

For the past week or more when I try to log on this forum I am directed to the control panel page and cannot get past it. Through some miracle I logged on, control panel page came up but I closed it, picked the website again and at the bottom of the screen saw that I was logged in.

I thought it may just be my ancient desk top but I tried other newer PC's other places and there is no difference.

Is anybody else having this trouble logging on? Can moderator or someone more computer savvy than I am explain what is happening or fix it? Or is this standard operating procedure now for steelchickens forum?

Not happening to me on either Windows 7, Windows Server 2008R2, or Windows Phone 7 using Internet Explorer, or Firefox also on the first two.
