PRAISE for KOWA OPTIMED INC

Post by Pete »

While at the WA State smallbore championships this year in Pe Ell I failed to properly attach my KOWA TSN-821 to the tripod and when changing firing positions it fell to the concrete. The result was a crack in the rear of the case, a dent in the front ring, a cracked Eyepiece housing and a distrurbing rattle inside; but the thing STILL WORKED. In early October I called KOWA OPTIMED in Torrance CA, told the tech exactly what happened and she gave me a RMA number. On October 7 I shipped it to California, on October 13 I got a call that they had received my scope and were evaluating it.

On October 20 I received my scope back in Vancouver. The enclosed invoice showed that KOWA had replaced the eyepiece head, a retaining ring and the prism holder. In addition to replacing the parts they did a general cleaning, a pinhole test, alignment check and nitrogen purge. The total price for the parts and labor including the return shipping was ZERO, thats $0.00.

I am sure everyone out there knows that KOWA makes great products and many of you know they have been a long time supporter of our Conard Bernhardt Cup match but with this level of product service I can't see any reason to buy anything else.
