Items carried to matches
I'm getting all my stuff together to carry with me to matches. What do you carry with you? I'm sure some are minimalist and some carry enough for any situation.
So what do I need to make sure I take? Extra rifle?
Rifle
Ammo (How Much)
Shooting Vest (If I had one)
Cleaning rod
Bore Guide
Patchworm
Sand bags (rest)
Allen wrenches
pliers
Screw drivers
Cooler
snacks
chair

Re: Items carried to matches
Rifle
Ammo- usually a box for warming up and two more for the match but I like to have at least 4 boxes incase I get a itchy trigger finger.
Shooting Vest
Rifle Caddie Box
Shooting bag with ammo, tools, hearing protection and cleaning accessories.
Chair if I remember one! Reminds me I need to run by Academy at lunch and find a new one for tomorrow!
Magic Bananas and water.
I think that about covers it.

Bob259, Don't I wish that's all you would carry to the matches. It would leave the rest of us with at least a little room for our stuff.

Re: Items carried to matches
Bob259, that's a great list. I forgot about my spotting scope.
I've got to order a vest. Which Hard scrabble mountain vest would yall recommend? I'm leaning toward the suede leather or the mesh/leather combination.
Thanks for the list of items.

Yup, all that and some of the other stuff mentioned: OCI, small clipboard, eye/ear protection.jjp wrote:I'm getting all my stuff together to carry with me to matches. What do you carry with you? I'm sure some are minimalist and some carry enough for any situation.

No need to bring a "back up" rifle, (unless you want to, of course). I'm sure someone will allow you the loan of one to finish a match (or maybe even shoot the whole thing, or at least I will
Oh...one more thing. I sometimes carry a "cute" (according to Ed) tote to carry my stuff in from animal to animal.
Hope to see you tomorrow.

Re: Items carried to matches
And always drop a few loose rounds in a vest pocket, just in case. In the middle of a real good run on pigs or chickens (I've tried to forget this episode) at Winnsboro, and discovered I had short loaded the magazine by two rounds.
Too make matters worse, I had just removed the loose rounds from my vest that morning because dirt was sticking to the lube.

Forgot to mention to double check and make sure you got the magazines (correct ones) for the rifle unless yours is a single shot
