Pigdog, I had that stock in my hands last week and it almost came home with me, Steve had to tackle me to get it out of my hands :)) . That is one cool stock my friend. Everybody at the match thought it was for me when they saw it and I had to inform them saddly ney :(( twas not for me.

Bob, yes that is a dipped stock, Steve's going to let me know when I can get my stock dipped. \m/

Thanks Shakes. It is cool what they can do with these dipped stocks now and they are geting better looking all the time. A guy up here has one done in a burl wood and it is hard to tell it's only a skin, everyone thinks it is the real thing.

That's what i thought about doing, a really pretty wood grain to trick everyone, but then I saw this and its all over now :))
Most of the wood grain you see in the higher-end cars are this hydro-dipped wood grain pattern skin that they put over the plastic.

Thanks, Matt. Got the PM. How durable are those dipped coatings? Can they be applied to wood stocks or only synthetic? I have at least one or two that might need to go skinnydipping. :)

I checked the website, and as long as the wood isn't real rough they can do it. If the stock and been sanded and is smooth then yes the print will "take" to the wood. I imagine there pretty durable.
