I don't think Shakes was like that, until McAlice posted those pictures. I think we ought to string him up!

McAlice or Shakes? Or maybe both just to make sure?

Just charge a flat rate fee of $5.00 for any add posted "for sale" items whether it sells or not. This is very reasonable. The marketplace gets many views from folks other than the Steelchickens regulars. No fee should be imposed for the WTB posters, but a fee should be paid by a seller or even the buyer if item is found.
Mordecai, you should have said something long ago if you were having to cover costs out of pocket. This has turned into a really great website. I would gladly pay a yearly user subscription fee to help keep this site "ON THE AIR".

McAlice of course! But I'm feeling generous today, let's just tar and feather him.

Evelio,
Got the email - sorry, I've been doing some travel - I will shoot you a reply very soon!
I think we all have a good, general idea of what will work for everyone on this.
My biggest concern right now is trying to find a payment solution that doesn't require me to post my address or send my address to every marketplace poster...
I'm thinking about a PO Box, but haven't found a cost-effective one in my area yet...
I'd do a gungear/paypal-ish style account if I thought everyone had one but it's not worth the effort for a one-time ad-poster to sign-up for a $3-5 bucks transaction.
