Twilla Toney Update
Some of you may know my wife and I. We have shot RF sihouette with you at the Southern Nationals for the past 3 years and shoot at Benton Gun Club and Old Fort Gun Club. My wife is the first and only shooter at the Benton Gun CLub to shoot 2 possible 40's in a row at the same match on 1/2 scale and I believe the first to shoot a possible 40 1/2 scale at Old Fort Gun Club. She is a high AAA shooter bumping the Master Class before her illness and dearly loves the game. For those that cannot place her, she wore a Black leather vest with white and blue animals on the back and shot a Anschutz 1712 in a blue on black Mark Pharr stock.
Rather than go through the pain of calling (and possibly missing some) our friends, I am sending out this message on the Forum.
New Year's eve, Twilla was hospitalized for severe abdominal pain. She was found to have a intestinal blockage due to the progression of her cancer. After her Surgeon and Oncologist reviewed the treatment records and scans, it was determined that her condition is untreatable and is terminal.
She will hopefully be discharged this week or weekend and will be at our home as long as possible with the asistance of Hospice. She does not want visitors nor flowers while she is at the hospital. I know of nothing that we can use nor need help with other than your prayers for her not suffering.
Thank all of you for your concern and prayers during the struggle we have gone through,
George

George, I remember you guys & Twilla's shooting at OFGC! I had no idea she was this sick, and this is, of course, terrible news. Tell her that she is in our thoughts and prayers.

George and Twilla,
You guys are in my prayers. Know that we love you guys and are at your disposal. It was my distinct pleasure to award Twilla that gift certificate for the perfect 40 on 1/2 scale at OFGC. Quite a lady, and quite a shooter.

George,
I'm sure you won't remember me, but I certainly remember you and Twilla from the Regional match held at Benton in '05. Your's and your wife's kindness was greatly appreciated by my son and me.
Blessings and prayers for you both.

Re: Twilla Toney Update
George,
I am so sorry to hear that Twila has passed on to a greater glory. It is a blessing that is was this fast and hopefully she did not suffer too much.
I want to thank you for posting this update in your time of grief. I remember the first time I met you and Twila. She was always a lady first and truly a first-class person and shooter. I am glad that I had the pleasure of knowing her. Please let Winnsboro Gun Club know if there is anything we can do for you.
