More expensive to feed, but worth it.

MidwayUSA has Federal Gold Medal Small Rile Primers (205M)

Post by Jason »

Haven't seen them available in a long time and just grabbed some for myself. Thought some of you might want them, especially those shooting the 6.5x47 Lapua cartridge.

Wow, that was fast. In the future, if you want to have them email you when they receive an item that's out of stock, you can just click the big "Remind Me" button that's where the "Add to Cart" or whatever button normally is.

I was just sitting here thinking that I don't even remember when I set that little reminder up on the MidwayUSA website to let me know when they got them in stock. That means that it's been a long time, probably a year or two or even more since they've been available there, and I haven't seen them readily available elsewhere either. I should have ordered more, but I felt guilty about taking too many for myself. :( :?

Jason I set up a Remind me note from Midway over four months ago now and have not heard anything yet....so if it was that long for you then maybe it does work.

Even though the order went through I was doubting that I'd actually get them sent. I was expecting an email like "Sorry, but we ran out before we got your order shipped." Instead, I got a "Your order has shipped!" email today. Supposedly they'll be here on 7/30. I'll be out of town until 8/4 but I'll get my brother-in-law to stop by and put them in the house. Now I just need them to get some Gold Medal large rifle primers in. :)

Even in good times the Federal Gold primers are a little hard to come by so this is no surprise. I'm just grateful to have enough of the blue Federal for awhile. And in the future I will keep at least a one year supply on hand!

And so long as our troops have all they need I'm okay with it.

You have to laugh! Midway sent me an email at 8:47 this morning that there were some in, but they were gone within an hour! Exactly how long it took I don't know, but they were gone by the time I checked at 9:45...

The other day, Brunos had some Wolf primers. I don't know if they were large or small!
