freak groups

Post by edgehit »

This evening we had perfect shooting conditions. The wind was less than 10mph and it was 70 degrees.

This is the first time I've had a chance to print some groups with my Pharr stocked 1712. I tried 2 brands; SK STD+ and Federal Automatch.
I shot 3 groups with Automatch and I'll show you the best. I then shot 5 fouling shots into the berm with SK, then shot the 5 shot group you see below. Needless to say, after 1 freak group with SK, I quit shooting paper and went back to shooting steel!

Good question! 100 yards.

I normally sight in at 100m, but today, I was practicing on resettable turkey targets and there was a unused paper target behind it at 100yds .

I thought what the heck? There's no wind. See what'll happen.

Thank you! That's a handy application.

Thanks to Jeffrey Block for the freeware.
