Some pics of Evelio McDonald's handiwork

Post by jneihouse »

Some folks have requested some pics of Pharr stocked guns, so, while at the range this afternoon shot a few pics as well as a few steel animals.

Here is Blaubear's new E-Mac rifle (Evelio McDonald rifle). It is a 1712 in a black and blue marbled Pharr RT/S stock with Pharr bottom metal and trigger. Barrel is stock 1712 Anschutz.

Image

Next up is Blaubear (AKA Bob Cloniger) with his new toy...Just so you can put a face with the screen name...

Image

Next up, Unkmike's new E-Mac rifle...It is a 1710 action with a fluted Lilja tite bore match chamber barrel in a Pharr RT/S black and silver marbled stock with Pharr bottom metal...

Image

And last up we have all three my 54:18 (guess which one is mine) and the two new kids on the block....And they all shoot better than they look..Nice work Evelio.

Just in case anyone's wondering, it was cold out there this afternoon! At least by Arkie standards! 37 degrees in town (the range is always about 10 degrees cooler in winter) with a four MOA wind. Before y'all start snickering, remember we don't have warming huts, and you're always welcome to come out with us in August...

Nothing like a little Gun Porn...

Evelio's work is pretty compelling. Once you've tried one, you'll want one.

Did I mention it was cold? Numb fingers seem to be the limiting factor in cold weather practices, so... We were kicking around ideas to improvise a warming hut so I'm definitely open to suggestions!

Kitty, That is why I live in Florida, I refuse to move some place where white stuff and frozen rain show up. It was 81 here today, to bad I had to work. Also thanks for the web site, Take care and will talk to you later,

The cold I enjoy because I can put on more clothes.
When it gets hot, you do not want me to be taking clothes off. :)

Sweating should be for hard work, not every day weather.

Lets see, 26 degrees right now on it's way down to 14. 10" of snow yesterday and 12+" expected tomorrow night and Sunday with that storm heading up the coast, and we won't even go into the wind chill and what that does because that would surely make you cold :D In the 30's, that's shorts weather

It does seem like 40 degrees is colder every year! And 110 felt hotter this summer. I'm a bigger wimp every year, but hey - I'm still here to gripe about it!

Blaubear, Me too... I hate this cold ad snow more every year. But my Mom is 96 and my wifes Mom is 87 and it's difficult as neither wants to move.

But my long range plans are to move to AZ where my niece lives with her family.
