Re-Bedding a CZ 452 in a Wayne Merrier stock
Hello all:
A few years ago, I purchased a Merrier stock directly from Wayne for a CZ 452 Varmint. At the time, he wasn't making any more stocks, but had a pre-existing stock that had been bedded for the same action/barrel combo. That was good news, and the rifle shoots great in that stock.
The unfortunate thing is that the action sits farther forward in the stock than I would have preferred if the stock had been custom-bedded for my hands. Wayne wasn't looking for more work at the time (semi-retired?), so I bought the stock as-is. The finger-reach distance on this stock is too long for an ideal grip.
It would be nice to find someone who is capable of re-bedding the CZ452 Varmint action and barrel in this stock, and setting the action farther back in the stock to decrease the reach from the grip to the trigger location. There isn't enough room in the trigger guard to allow the trigger to move back without hitting the guard or causing more issues with reaching the trigger.
In any event - can anyone here make a recommendation for someone who might be willing to take on this re-bedding task?
Thanks,
Steve.
