Sticky Scope
I stored my Redfield spotting scope in the garage for a year and now the surface is sticky and has been for that last year. WTF? Has anyone else run into this?

2 Kowa spotting scopes had same problem with rubber coating getting sticky.
Send them back for refurbishment.Had to go back to Japan.Sent in one at a time,took 3-5 months but returned in perfect condition with new type coating I believe.No charge.
