Website's Future - host migration - donation thanks!

Post by webmaster »

As you likely know from this month's political events, they're spilling over into the digital economy.
Vendor's are dropping services to websites they do not agree with on whatever level. I will be needing to find a new vendor and relocate everything.
We will do out best to keep this website going so long as its wanted, but it's going to take time and energy which can be in short supply sometimes.
Good luck to us all.

I hope you are successful. Many consider this an important source for our shooting endeavors. In these times, more important then ever.

The website is important to my family for many reasons.
Please try to keep it going.
In time there will be more vendors created to serve forums like this.

Looks like it’s hosted by godaddy? That’s who i have my mess of a web site with. Maybe I need to move too. A little googling showed some firearm friendly web hosting companies.

https://www.newrockit.com/

I host all of my sites with Newrockit. They also shoot and are friendly to hosting sites of this nature.

do you have a POBox we could send funds to? I think you should & could tap the users for your effort in keeping the site up. Best wishes RJ

I agree, your website is important to me for information on this sport.Perhaps we shooters could encourage our local vendors who help us to participate in silhouette to apply.I would contribute.

Check out Known Host. They can do migration and domain hosting at a reasonable cost.
We had a problem with the Historicshooting forum, the hosting company did something, and really scrambled things up to the point we couldn't even get to the site for about 30 days, finally got them to sort of fix what they had done, but in the end we had to and are still in the process of rebuilding it.
So stay away from Budget Vm, and I think getting away from Godaddy is not a bad thing to happen either.

Thanks for the hosting recommendations. I'm doing my due diligence now...
Frankly, I'm moving everything. Sites, Email, Cells, VPNs... The "battlespace" has changed.

VPNs: Express VPN is excellent and located in the Virgin Islands where the 5 Is (eyes) can't do anything to them until they take over the World.

A huge thanks to Mr. Deal for his most generous donation and fundraiser (link below)!

I've selected what I believe to be a 2A friendly host, so the migration planning begins...

Thanks everyone. Godspeed and good luck.
