Rimfire Henry maintenance...
I thought I had posted this but apparently haven't.... took some pictures and want to share...
The way the rimfires are designed, crud builds up here:
To the left of the rails next to the cover. You can't clean it with out removing the cover. This will do 2 not so nice things....
First it will open your headspace up which will decrease your accuracy...
Second it will wear the crap out of the nubbin on the lever that closes the bolt.
It will mushroom out that tip which will open up your headspace.
Also when you lube and reassemble make sure you put a dab of grease in the pocket on your bolt where the nubbin rides.
It will thank you....
