Bad News
The higher ups at the NRA has decided the 2020 Silhouette Nationals (all Silhouettes) will be conducted in Ridgeway, PA.
In 2021, they will alternate with the Whittington Center. This has been finalized.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it is what it is. Sorry folks...............

Re: Bad News
Jim, what was the source of this information and why was this decision made? With so much discussion about nationals locations in the past few months, most people want more details.

It's true. I was just told by someone who is in the loop. I was blindsided.
All silhouette will be in Ridgway for 2020. I wish them luck.

Re: Bad News
2020 at Raton (because everyone has been planning on it since last year) and 2021 at Ridgeway would make way more since....
I was planning to shoot everything all the way through. Boss already knew I was taking JULY off this year....
Oh well, he'll be happy....

Wow, did not see that one coming!
Jeanne or anyone else... is there any way to know if the dates are up in the air as well?

I'm sure the RIdgway folks will let everyone know when they get the dates set.
I have no information and expect to receive none.

Re: Bad News
I wonder why, after the shooters had made their feelings known at shooters meetings for several years. Also I agree with Emmett, Why not start next year since most have already planned their times for this year?

Re: Bad News
We can all ask "why?" until the cows come home but I doubt we'll ever know.
What I'm curious about (and I'm sure we'll learn the details of in the coming weeks) is how close are the Nationals are going to be to the Monarch Cup.
Going to make for some awfully interesting calendar shuffling.

Re: Bad News
Looks like Ridgway is going to be a busy place in 2020 even if you just shoot scoped smallbore. If you just shoot that one discipline, you have the Super Shoot, the Monarch Cup and the Nationals.

Wow, that is a really long drive from Southern California
At least Raton was half way from any place in the USA.
I'll have to wait another year to take photos.

What a great way to grow and build the sport by pissing off and losing half of your usual competitors. I’m sure there will some new faces at this years nationals but there will be a great absence of many others including myself. My plans have been arranged since the “official” dates were released. I agree with Jeanne... I wish them luck!!!
