I have no reason to think this schedule will not be approved.
Hopefully Ridgway will host the Lever Action Silhouette Nationals in 2020.

Dustin, apparently so. One day for setup and one practice day.

HP before Smallbore too... Hummm, That's different. One day between Smallbore and Lever Action doesn't give you guys much time to set up.

Probably won't make the Lever Nationals next year, too close to the end of July for me. Normally busy at work :(

If they shaved a day off of each event, I would probably make it.

I would also think that with less spacing between, they would get even more cross participation.

We would like to have a 40 round nra approved match for both smallbore rifles on the practice day with target setters that goes in the records and a match caller for a reasonable fee. Then the traditional 40 round scoped smallbore matches for 3 days.

Then it wouldn't be a practice day, it would just be an extension of the match to four days.

Jeanne, The Ridgway Club did the 40 round approved club practice day matches in 2019. I think they did this in previous years also. The process would be simple. Just apply separately for an approved "monthly" match for practice day not a "Registered" match. National matches, Regional matches and State matches are classified as "Registered" matches. Local "club" matches are classified as "Approved" matches. No fee is required to be sent to the NRA for approved matches so the entry fee should be low. Approved matches on practice day is a good rehearsal to help everyone(competitors, target setters and range workers) work together more efficiently
on the National match days.

Making the practice matches "approved" means people are eligible for grand slams and long-run records. There isn't really any reason why they shouldn't be approved.

I don't plan to have matches on practice day, but using Bobby's logic in the Survey thread, if we had matches on a fourth day, the match fee should be $273.33.

Practice day is for practice, sighting in, etc. And there will be target setters for practice day.

"work together more efficiently on the National match days."

Obviously hasn't been to one of the National matches at Raton recently.
Matches over and done by 3pm each day, it don't get more efficient than that!

Jeanne, please read my post again. Upon considering the math again, practice day is already paid for. It is simple logic that there should be almost no cost to the competitors to run two 40 round approved matches on practice day. The only additional cost should be simple paper scorecards like we all use at monthly matches and maybe a few cans of paint. There is already a match caller for practice day that is calling practice, target setters for practice day and the practice day match scorecards can be put in the system weeks later. There does not even have to be a yellow board. As least input from the competitors is being asked for early enough to sift through it and implement the best suggestions.
