Thanks Emmett. You are correct, we have no problem shooting a match when it's a bit muddy or even in the rain (as long as it's not flooding or lightning).... Unfortunately, in the 12-13 years I've been associated with this range, this is the 1st time I've seen it hold this much water for this long, and in places on the range where I've never seen it hold water... Usually this range dries out completely within 5-6 days after even minor flooding.
This tells me we're waterlogged, and the buffer we usually have before it floods is now nonexistent. I've been stuck on the range one time when it flooded and it's a helpless feeling that I wish on no one.

Thanks everyone for your understanding. Hope to see y'all in June!

For anyone wondering about some rain and mud at the range.... it isn't that. It's the fact that the entire area (north of Austin) is waterlogged and there is a ton more rain in the forecast. The range is on the other side of a creek that the bridge goes underwater any time there is a large rain on the north side of Austin.

They can't take a chance on everyone getting flooded in at the range or being flooded out of the range.

It is what it is...

Thank you,Judy and Tim for contacting us concerning the cancellation. We understand completely.
We were looking forward to shooting with our Texas Leveraction friends.
Please consider attending the Leveraction Regional at Ridgway on Labor Day weekend.
Sorry we cannot attend the alternate date in June as that’s the Sierra Classic HP at Ridgway.
Don’t forget the HP&SB Silhouette Nationals at Ridgway also.

Can you explain the "Postal" column for me? It looks like the first score is for 60-shots but the Postal is 40.

Glad the match went well!

The postal match is same for SB/HP and CLA, based off 40 shot match. They take the first 10 of the animal shot on a 60 to convert to 40 shot. It has to be noted on score card to bank one to start at the top of bottom of the card so stat knows which 10 animal score to pull off it for the postal match.

You are correct... the Postal match is the 1st 10 shots fired on each bank of targets. Separate state match where the scores are sent to NRA and the winning postal state is declared.

There’s nothing in the CLA postal column because it is a 40 shot match.
