Checking Sights

Post by boats »

Posted on this before, had a camera with me today when checking out my Marlin 36A. Thought it illustrates how it works pretty well. Sight is old but not one of the all steel lyman 66's. It came out fine, ran from Chicken to Ram zero back and forth several times always indicating the exact same elevation and movement per click. Have checked many rifles mine and friends, be surprised how inconstant movement per click can be. And how good it can be with some sights. Never found a clear pattern of good or bad, don't trust any until you have checked them out.
