Mid 1990's Marlin 336 CS

Post by ksfrank »

I am trying to get a mid 1990 Marlin 336 CS set up to shoot silhouette. The rifle has no front sight at all. Any idea where I can get a front sight ramp? The two screw holes are approx .71 inches apart. I have looked at Brownells and MidWest Lever guns to no avail.

Marbles and Skinner sell sights that fit Marlin 336's.

There is a 50/50 chance you will need a taller than stock front sight to put in the ramp.

I am planning on a Williams rear sight and a Lyman globe for the front, any recommendations on the height for the front sight?

I believe there are a few post considering that exact combination.
I Have a preference for Marbles 3/16" bead sights.
