Re: 2019 PA Lever Action Regional
I was at the Ridgway Leveraction range today and club members were getting range prepared for Friday practice session.
An incredible amount of $$$$ work and preparation has gone on in the past year to get to this point.
This will be the major Leveraction match of the year in the East.
Good Luck,Great weather wishes to all attending.Safe travels.

Today’s 60 shot CLA match was a success.Weather and conditions were perfect.
There were over 100 shooters.Of interest was there were more big guns shot than were entered in pc and Sb,and those were over 100 also.
10 target settlers handled all 40 banks of 5 animals so speedily that starting at 9:00am
Match was completed by 4:30,with half hour lunch.Thats setting after every 5 animals.Very impressive.
Shootoffs were held a half hour after last relay.
Also score cards were identical to those used at Nationals.
The National Anthem was sung by Tom Fullem once again and was beautifully done.
This range is well planned as shooters only have to move 20 feet to shoot all their animals and rifles can stay in same rack all day.Stat gals did a great job.Dave Reiner called the line and did his usual professional job.
A great lunch was available for a donation.
I will leave the results up to someone who had capability to do so.
It was great seeing so many from so far away, and many I had not seen since Hunter Pistol days.
Also there were many folks I had never met from who knows where,so this sport is growing here.
Pistol Cartridge is tomorrow 2-40 shot matches
Don’t miss the next one.

With participation like this the Lever Action Nationals should be held at Ridgway next year. And alternate every other year after that between Raton and Ridgway.

The regional match went very well. There were many details to plan ahead, and everything ran smoothly despite some rainy weather. Tired, wet, muddy target-setters never quit. Overall, everyone seemed to have a good time. Thanks Tammy and Mike and the rest of the work crew.
PS The man who sang the national anthem was excellent!

How about some score boards?
Emmett Dibble, Houston, Texas. Where's my buddy Jason? Keeper of electronic records and banisher of little pieces of paper?

Sunday Pistol Cartridge Match.
The Pledge to the flag was lead by Bob Lemke aka Gunny.
All veterans were brought forward and honored.
Target setters were astounding all day.
The match proceeded smoothly and some great scores recorded. There was a 39 recorded10 CPT and number 6 ram did not fall.
Results can be posted by others.
Dinner was provided by the club.Cheif chef Tom Cheisa(sp) prepared roast pork tenderloin, carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy,
and corn on the cob.
If you did not get enough to eat,you weren’t there.
Today SB Match
Weather started overcast and some showers. This did not deter the target setters who painted each relay despite rain and mud.
These conditions didn’t hamper the competitors either. There were 2-40x40 scores recorded.
Mat Pavlock and Joe Zewe both achieved this feat.
I don’t think two 40 shot scores have ever been done with same rifle on a single match day.
There were some lengthy shootoffs that were run smoothly and efficiently.
Someone had the idea that these two 40 shooters should go head to head and try for the long run record on rams.
The record is 30 I believe set by Dereck Greenaway a retired silhouette shooter and National Champion.
Both agreed and that was going on while the awards were being handed out.More about awards later.
Mat shot 3 more and Joe got 6.
Joe had shot 10 rams on the second 40 also so he tried it again, sorry I missed how many that time.
Jim Luke was the overall agg champion.I asked Jim what is his edge to success,”PRACTICE”
Awards were very nice engraved glass mugs and pitchers and handmade knives.
The level of competition, distance traveled and number of competitors at this match attest to the fact that many will travel to compete when a quality facility and match is available.
A Special thank You was announced for Match Director Tammy Haynes and crew.
The crew.
Dave Reiner called the line in a timely and professional manner.
Stat gals,Marie Reiner,Michele Holsopple
Tammy promised the next one would be even better.
Don’t miss it.

Did anyone take any photos of either the LAR match on day one or the SB cowboy match on day three. I wasnt able to stay for the end of day three to post the aggragate scores. I did here there were two 40 shot scores in SB cowboy.

Ridgway Rifle Club is the center of the universe for rifle silhouette(at least in the EAST)! EVERYONE involved did an outstanding job! Great venue!
I am still a little confused though; do we do we finish on our first animal or do we start on our last animal ??? eh!

Here's the SB Scores. Matt Pavlik & Joe Zewe had a perfect 40. My pics aren't the greatest either. Couldn't get close enough, too many people trying to see the results. What a great match !!!
