Leverevolution brass is shorter than regular 45-70 brass that can cause a problem/issues when reloading.

Re: Hornady FTX 45-70 ammo
I've shot over twenty pounds of it and no issues. Most was shot in a 223, but also 30-30, 8x56 Mannlicher, 308 and probably some others. When powder was hard to get, this powder was available and relatively inexpensive. I worked up loads using a chronograph and didn't push any limits as load data for calibers other than the 30-30 is hard to find. The 223 and 30-30 loads are accurate. The 308 loads were very good. I've been wanting to try it in 6BR but haven't got to it yet. SD and ES were average or better than average.

Once again.....DO NOT load that powder below the MINIMUM recommended charge. No statement was made or suggested regarding loads within specs.
