I have the Henry Frontier with the 24 inch barrel for small bore CLA. For Pistol cartridge CLA, I am planning on getting a Henry in .357 mag. For big bore CLA I will possible be looking at the Henry in 30-30. I was told that I could use the .357 for the big bore matches.

Ken the .357 will work in CLA but is iffy on rams. I used one for a few years with all kinds of bullet/loads combos but ended up with a 30/30. It has no problem with the CPT and you can buy factory ammo to build up your brass stockpiles.

SBCLA - can't go wrong with a decent 39a or Henry 24"
PCCLA - any 24" 357, they are cheap to load, If you don't mind loosing a ram every so often and can purchase 22mag ammo every chance you get the 24" Henry in 22 mag, if you have the 22LR you will have 2 rifles set up identical which is nice and honestly I am very impressed with the wifes 24" 22mag Henrys accuracy.
CLA - what ever you can stomach the recoil on. 30-30 is obvious choice and ammo is easy if you don't reload. If you are recoil shy you'll need to play around with other chamberings.

Small bore a Marlin 39a or a Henry in 22lr . For pistol cartridge go with the 357 mag. Any brand you can find. For CLA go with the 30-30, Marlin, Henry , and/or Winchester.
