Buying rifles at the Nationals

Post by snaketail2 »

I haven't been to Raton in several years - but will go at the end of June. Last time I was there several people were selling various silhouette firearms - sort of a tailgate sale.

I'm in the market for a new rifle and was wondering if this sort of selling still goes on?

Thanks,
Michael

It goes on. I will be bringing a Marlin Cowboy Limited, 24 inch, 44 Mag, a Winchester Model 61, a Henry Golden boy with the adult and youth stocks and a Marlin 39A.
I am not listing them for sale on this forum, just letting you know that the practice continues and I plan to participate.

I will be in West Campground Spot 69, Afternoon Saturday June 27, with a few choices too.

Not sure what all is coming right now, but most likely a Marlin 336 -30/30 and a Marlin 1894M 22Mag.

I will be bringing two rifles to sell at the Nationals:

Marlin 1894 Cowboy, 24" Octagon Barrel, 38-55. This rifle is new and unfired.

Winchester 1892, 24" round barrel, 25-20, excellent condition, including the barrel rifling.

I will be practicing at the ranges starting on Saturday, June 27.

I'll have a Marlin 1894cl 25-20 for trade only. It's Dick's ( 40-65) gun I traded for a couple of years ago. Jeanne and I have went to 32-20's in PC . I have dies, brass, bullets and a bullet mold also IF I trade the rifle. I want no cash for the rifle...trade only. If anyone in interested I'll bring it to Raton. I'm interested in a good 32-20 or 357 Marlin.

I wonder if there would be any interest in a 24" Winchester 94AE in 7-30 Waters. Williams receiver sight with Lyman 17A front sight. I have dies, brass, and a lot of 130 grain Speer bullets.

At the very least I would probably be very interested in your 130 bullets.

Greg - Let's talk in Raton. Can't make it to Benton this weekend, but will find you "out there."

Sorry Grizz, I need to keep them with the package, as they are very hard to come by. If they don't sell with the rifle I will let you know.
