WTS – Pharr/Pearson Built HP. R/T, 5022, Pac-Nor, SOLD!

Post by GeoNLR »

Pharr built this rifle for a friend of mine that no longer shoots. He told Pharr to build it like it was his own and he didn't have a budget. Pharr sent the action to Marvin Pearson in WA to hang the Anschutz 5022 trigger and perform the Anschutz style bolt release modification. Pharr did the rest of the gunsmithing. The bolt has basically nothing stock… shroud, firing pin, springs, etc. have all been replaced. The action makes a really neat 'ziiiiiip' sound when you pull the bolt back. Pharr trued and blueprinted the action, heavy Tubb recoil lug installed, glass and pillar bedded. The bedding is so smooth you can actually see the 'proof' marks from the receiver. Pharr 'filled' the rear of the stock, and a decelerator pad installed. Front slot was installed to play with weight in the forearm.

Specs =

Caliber = 7MM-08

Rifle weighs 8-lbs, 7-ozs as pictured (current scope is 14 ozs. Rifle made weight with a 8.5-25x50 Leupold bumped to 30-50X50 = 22 ozs)

Barrel length - 23" to extractor

Barrel is a Pac-Nor 3 grove, fluted stainless steel

Barrel = .730" at muzzle, .960 (4") in front of the receiver

LOP = standard 13.75"

Stock – Pharr R/T

Trigger is set on 1-lb, 8-ozs on the first stage and breaks at 2-lbs, 2-ozs

This rifle shoots outstanding and has produced many 1/2 MOA groups at the ram line with 162 grain Hornady bullets. It also loves all of the match king offerings.
This is not a problem rifle, simply one whose shooter abandoned the sport!!!

***note you will also get roughly 220 loaded rounds and any fired brass the seller can find for the price above... load data available. 1/2 of those are 130 grain for the short line and 1/2 are the 162's for the rams...

Nice rifle!

Marv machined my Rem 700 to accept the Annie trigger with side bolt release and safety with the Tannel firing assembly and bolt shroud. Marv is a master machinist and produces works of art. Someone is going to buy one helluva of rifle.
