I was just told "Sightron advertised the dot covered .41" at 100 yards so it's a hair under 7/16 of a dot." and I believe that is correct... it's not tiny....

It seems smaller then a 3/8 but don't have one to compare it to.

You're right. On Page 26 it states the SIIB2444D has a .250 dot and that's where I realized that this scope in the OP wasn't the SIIB62442SIL model that I thought this scope was which does have the 3/8-7/16 dot.Thomasconnor wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 5:50 am It's a .250 dot. See page 26...Tom
