Purchased a 581 and I need some of the 5 rnd plastic mags for it. I don't want the 10 rnd ones because they stick out too far. Let me know if you have any and cost shipped.

If you go over to Rimfire Central, there are stickys on how to adapt Savage or Remington 5teen series mags to use in your 541 or 581. Ebay wants left arms or first born male grandchildren for the 5 rounders!

Grab the 10 rounders. A little thinking and you can cut them down, add a wood base cap and you are fixed up. Dremel tool made it easy. I had a 5 round that I used to measure from but am sure that if need be start a little long and then trim as you go. Yes you'l need to clip some of the spring also. Best wishes Happy Easter
