Savage Anschutz 54 repeater hunter
HI ,
I have a Mark Phar built FRANKENhunter supreme !
Savage Anschutz 54 repeater in Robertson / Phar original design
THIS hunter will shoot ! 10 shots INSIDE 3/4 minute of angle ...
yes YOU heard me right ... 100 m , 10 shots well under 1 inch ... nice and circular groups .
IT was custom fitted with a much newer 5074 Anschutz trigger ... and then Neil Stepp made it 2 lbs .
IT has a single shot adapter OR comes with the whole magazine for REPEATER !
IT has a 14 in LOP and requires someone with longer fingers THAN myself to appreciate !
In other words ... IT does not fit ME !
Will it make weight ... YES with MORR Accuracy ultralight rings and Leupold 25X scope !
Asking 1950.00 shipped w / insurance - CALL 570-730-3134 PA . GSL

Re: Savage Anschutz 54 repeater hunter
That trigger shoe looks very straight. That is why it is so far forward and you cannot reach it. There are many trigger shoes out there that curve way back toward the back of the trigger guard for people with short fingers. If the action is bedded any further back in the stock it will be difficult to remove the bolt for cleaning without cutting the front of the comb which is not a good option. Also, many people are using a technique where they are only grabbing the right side edge of the trigger shoe and not putting the whole pad of the trigger finger on the contact surface. Hate to see someone give up a fantastic rifle when a different trigger shoe might be an easy fix.
