Anybody using a Leupold VXIII LR scope for HP?

More expensive to feed, but worth it.

Anybody using a Leupold VXIII LR scope for HP?

Post by rich56 »

Wondering if the side focus models are good for HP. I have a hunter rifle with weight to spare in stainless and I'm seeing these scopes (6.5-20x40 and 8.5-25x50) in silver finish at good prices.

I have a 6.5x20 40mm Long Range on my high power and it works great. I believe that it has the best optics of all of the scopes I have. Has greater adustment for elevation and windage that the standard target scopes. And easy to set paralex for different animals.
I will post a picture later.

Found a picture of my High Power Hunter

Remington Short action, Kriger #5 taper, 25" long, 6.5 8 twist chamber 6.5 x 47, Pharr RT/s stock, Luepold 6.5x20 LR in Talley rings. Picture has Jewell trigger but it now has a CG Universal two-stage trigger.
