Does anyone know of a modern trigger that will replace a 1407-u9?

HI ,

I believe the answer is YES and NO ...
YES the ANSCHUTZ 5071 is the MODERN upgrade to that older trigger ...
it looks exactly like a 5018 trigger except for the catch link that engages the older firing pin ...
HOWEVER , ANSCHUTZ no longer supplies THAT trigger !

you must try to find a 5071 trigger USED
I hope that helps ...
good luck
GSL

If I was looking for something like that, I would call Neil Stepp at ISS.

The 5071’s are not available any more new and used very expensive. The other thing about most of the used ones is that they are the older models that use glued in taper pins. They are not real reliable.

The trigger you have is really a very good trigger. They can be tweaked about any way you want. Why not just work with that?

Hey Jerry. Where have you been hiding? The Tucson crowd misses you!

I am glad to see you posting Jerry! I was concerned that you gave up silhouette shooting and took up golf instead.
