Re: 2019 Louisiana Indoor Air Rifle Silhouette Regional Match

Garin, that Daystate is chained to my wrist, just like those 60's secret agent movies. =))

I have to agree with Dustin, another great match as usual. Thanks to Danny, Garin and the Hatch Facility for hosting this extraordinarily unique match.

Re: 2018 Shamrock Silhouette Shootout - St. Patrick's Day Weekend

Thanks to Dustin, and all his hard work, the inaugural Shamrock Silhouette Shootout was by all means a success. The match ran smoothly, and Jerry Tureau's jambalaya was very good. Even Bill Motl said so. I had a great time even though I didn't shoot as well as I hoped to. If you didn't make it this ...

Re: Louisiana Smallbore Silhouette Championship - March 25-26, 2017

As Ken Green said; I want to thank Dustin for all his hard work in putting this match together and to thank all of the shooters who traveled from out of state to participate. Thanks to our chefs for the weekend; Jerry Tureau and Ken Green. Its very hard to be a participant and to cook at the same ti...

Re: NEWBE

I participated last year and it was a load of fun. I got to meet a lot of great people and great shooters. Be sure to bring your scope shade as in the pm match, you will be shooting into the sun. There will be plenty of great food and smiles. Dustin runs a real good match and Jerry cooks a mean jamb...

Re: Veterans Day

While visiting Normandy in 2013, I was fortunate to meet a D-Day landing veteran. All I could do is stand there like a starstruck child and mumble Thank You. I'm saying it loudly now, THANK YOU. **==

Re: World Cup of Silhouette

Dustin, Have you given any thought to the impact of a competitor moving up in class while shooting in the WCOS competition next year? For example- an A class competitor moving up to AA. If the competition is going to last several months, there is that possibility. Also, if said competitor moved up i...

Re: Does everyone else tracks their scores?

Since I read Winning In Mind by Lanny Bassham, I have started keeping a journal of not only my scores in competition but how I practice as well. I know it's a little overkill, but hey, how else do you improve.

Re: Practice rifle

I've found that the JSB Diabolo 8.44 pellets and the air arms Diabolo 8.44 pellets do very well in my TX. I tried the 7.87 JSB but they didn't seem to do as well as the heavier 8.44 pellets. You might want to get a sampler pack from Pyramid air to try. Good luck and enjoy the TX. It's addictive. Dea...
